Southern Verisimilitude

Being forced outta the house on wedding related errands does have some perks...like a visit to Scriptura. I always make it a point to stop in when I'm down on Magazine but always forget about the Metairie location. Not today, stomped on my brakes when I passed and spent a much needed 30 minutes of happy time. Picked up several little happies for Samantha's Easter basket (couldn't mail it to her cause she's on tour so it just keeps growing and growing, course I have eaten all the freakin candy out of it, gotta replace that before she gets here for the wedding). But anyway, such beautiful things, everywhere you look, handbound journals, moleskin notebooks, amazing stationary and notecards. Couldn't help myself when it came to several sheets of paper, don't know if I'll actually work with them or just admire them but what's new about that. The real kicker though were the pens at the register, all kinds of great colors and cheap, I grabbed 5 for Samantha...well Samantha's butt isn't getting them!!! Lov'em, they write like a dream, perfect tip for journaling, happy colors, comfortable ~ geez, guess I'll have to go back, just dawned on me that a few of these would be the perfect b'day gift for somebody that's entering my decade this month ;-b
